Shay's Shrooms is a mycology education and field companion app developed by Jeff Walker, available at shaysshrooms.pages.dev and on Android via Google Play.

The following is stored in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to any server:
This data lives entirely on your device. It is not transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party at any time.
When you use the Ailah chat or Mushroom Scan features, your messages and uploaded images are sent to Anthropic, Inc. for AI processing. This is required for these features to function.
We do not store conversation history on our servers. Anthropic's data practices are governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
Our Cloudflare Worker infrastructure may log standard server metadata including IP address (processed by Cloudflare, not stored by us), request timestamps, and HTTP status codes. These logs are retained briefly for technical operation and do not contain message content or images.
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive a purchase token and product ID to credit your account — we do not receive or store payment card details. Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
If you submit feedback through the app, the text and context (current screen, timestamp) is sent to us by email. This is voluntary and contains no automatically collected personal information beyond what you write.
Shay's Shrooms is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.
All your app data is local. To delete it:
There is no account to delete and no server-side user data, because none was collected.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
